     Four Winds Equine Rescue provides a safe haven for the healing transformation of equines in need from our local area until placement in their forever homes through a community of
like-minded volunteers.

    Four Winds Equine Rescue Volunteers have to be ready at a moment’s notice to respond to the needs of law enforcement agencies to assist in the removal of equines in potentially neglectful and cruel situations.  When a request is received the roundup of people, trailers and foster families begins. 

    To accomplish the mission of providing a safe haven for the healing transformation of equines, Four Winds Equine Rescue provides the following:

  1. ✤ Transportation

  2. ✤ Assess the animal’s needs

  3. ✤ Arrange for emergency medical care

  4. ✤ Provide emergency foster care

  5. ✤ Arrange medical care, farrier service and equine training

  6. ✤ Locate, approve and monitor Foster Care families

  7. ✤ Locate, approve and monitor Adoption families

  8. ✤ Provide care training for Foster and Adoptive families


To help accomplish our mission we:

  1. ✤ Organize fundraisers

  2. ✤ Participate in community events that promote awareness of equine cruelty

  3. ✤ Create and market Four Wind products

  4. ✤ Encourage donations and public support

”Equine” includes horses, donkeys and zebras.

 

    We enjoy the work we do with these horses, donkeys, and other equines and we are grateful to be given the opportunity to help these wonderful creatures.  However, we are in need of financial assistance.  If our mission speaks to your heart, and if you are able to help, please consider making a donation to our organization.  If you are able to help, we will be more than happy to provide you with a donation letter for tax deduction purposes.
